Male Dancer Audition

Black Box Dance Theatre is seeking a male dancer for the 2026–2027 Season.
Join a company creating bold, non-fiction dance rooted in real stories and human connection.

Pullen Community Center Veteran Movement Classes

In conjunction with City of Raleigh, Black Box Dance Theatre is offering a six-week series of movement classes for veterans and military families at Pullen Arts Center. No dance experience is required - just a willingness to move, reflect, and be part of a supportive community where healing and growth unfold through art.

Physics + Dance Lab

Designed for high school and undergraduate students, local dance artists, and teachers looking to expand their understanding of dance integration, this day-long intensive on May 31st invites you to investigate big ideas through the body—using movement as a way to explore, question, and make meaning.

Afternoon of Art: A Joint Force Event!

The Joel Fund and Black Box Dance Theatre are joining forces to offer veterans and military families an afternoon of workshops in dance, story, and 2-D art projects. No dance or visual art experience needed. Walk-ins are welcome.

Tony Award-winning producer, Mara Isaacs, has announced the launch of a bold new documentary anthology exploring how the arts shape, uplift, and define communities across the United States.

We Lift Each Other is a powerful film that highlights Black Box Dance Theatre’s long-term work with active-duty service members, veterans, and participants in a Veterans Treatment Court program—individuals navigating recovery, rebuilding identity, and reclaiming hope. Through movement, storytelling, and shared creative practice, these veterans reveal profound resilience and the capacity for connection after trauma.

Recognized statewide and nationally as a model of hope, the film is now available for screenings across America.
