OUR MISSION
To create and share transformative dance experiences that connect communities, reveal humanity, and inspire understanding through art.
WE LIFT
EACH OTHER
A Black Box Dance Theatre film from the documentary anthology series, I FEEL MYSELF TO BE PART OF SOMETHING,
Tony Award-winning producer, Mara Isaacs, has announced the launch of a bold new documentary anthology exploring how the arts shape, uplift, and define communities across the United States.
We Lift Each Other is a powerful film that highlights Black Box Dance Theatreβs long-term work with active-duty service members, veterans, and participants in a Veterans Treatment Court programβindividuals navigating recovery, rebuilding identity, and reclaiming hope. Through movement, storytelling, and shared creative practice, these veterans reveal profound resilience and the capacity for connection after trauma.
Recognized statewide and nationally as a model of hope, the film is now available for screenings across America.
