Patriot's Path: The Theseus Legacy

Jan 12th, 2025

Wortham Center for Performing Arts

Part history, part personal reflection, and all profoundly human, this evening of high art invited audiences to witness the intersection of myth and memory in an immersive, heartfelt exploration of what it means to serve, struggle, and return home.

I encountered a level of sincerity that fostered an atmosphere of inclusion that equal parts put me at ease and caught me off guard.

Winter Intensive 2024

December 27th-29th, 2024

Thank you to all who joined for the first-ever Black Box Dance Theatre Winter Intensive! For three days, participants challenged themselves with company classes, skill building, and professional development guided by BBDT Company Members.

Winter intensive participants happily pose for a group picture after attending class.

As a student studying dance, it was a very valuable experience to take classes along with members of the company and people of all different backgrounds. I have loved working with black box so it was really cool to see it from a different perspective.
